Description: Adolfo is a farmer from the Lempa Valley. He has farmed using only natural methods for decades and now has a huge variety of crops including coconuts, bananas, oranges, beans, herbs, rice and many more. Over the years he has seen a dramatic change in weather cycles in the valley. He says: “Before, you could almost guarantee when the rains would begin and stop. Now you just never know. Some days when it should be raining, the sun burns all day, then it just rains too much and the ground becomes flooded.” Adolfo says that by using his traditional seeds, his crop is more resilient to these climatic changes. Depicting the day to day lives of people affected by climate change in El Salvador. All images by Jason Taylor for Friends of the Earth International, 2013.
