Description: Pedro Rivera Ayala, a local from La Tirana is a crab fisherman. He buys what the community catches and takes it to the local market in Usulutan. He pays people $2 per dozen crabs. He has seen a decline in all species of fish and crab. Like many others, he believes that climatic changes, river pollution and flooding released by a nearby dam are all responsible for this decline in natural resources.
